Aiko laughed, "That's our Mistress!"
Shinsuke lead her all the way upstairs and knocked on a huge wooden door.
Madoka answered it. Her long purple hair draped over her shoulders and her red lips were in an angry scowl, "Master Shinsuke and Mistress Karin." She said that almost mockingly. "Enter."
"Okay Madoka.." Instictively, he got on front of Karin as if he was protecting her as he entered the master's bedroom.
The bedroom was once again another huge room. There was a large bed next to a giant gold vanity mirorr. Shinsuke's mom sat at the mirror. She was playing a harp and looked up when the kids entered. "Hello, children."

"Whats wrong, sweetheart?" Asked their Mother.
"Where's the clan maste-- I mean Dad."
"Your father is in his study along with your birthday gift."
Shinsuke nodded.

Shinsuke inched away from them and into the study.

Playfully the woman laughed and tickled her child. "You should remember this! I used to hum this to you when you couldn't sleep! Works everytime." She hummed a cheerful song with her kind sounding voice and started to play some notes on her harp.

Shinsuke came back in the room. Around his waist was a leather sheath that had a shiny black sword handle sticking out of it.
The woman abruptly stopped playing and smiled.
