Kouhei put Megumi down when they arrived at the broken down village. Most of the houses were weathered away and nothing but splinters in the ground. There were a lot of unburied skeletons scattered across the village ground as well.
Kouhei walked over to one of the few shacks that still stood, but barely. They looked like they could give out at any moment. He moved one of the skulls to the side and started to dig away slightly at the ground until a faintly red shard glowed from the ground. He picked it up and walked over to Megumi.
"Do you think you can still purify this?" he asked, holding out his hand.

She stared at the shard, "I don't see why not. Let me give it a try." she took the jewel from Kouhei's hand.
